You can’t miss the Walkabout Creek Hotel when you drive into McKinlay.
Originally called the Federal Hotel, this pub was built in 1900 and licensed in 1901. The name was changed to Walkabout Creek Hotel after the first Crocodile Dundee movie.
Today the Walkabout Creek Hotel sits proudly overlooking the Landsborough Highway after being relocated in 1996 from the original site at the end of Middleton Street. Come on in and enjoy a drink and some friendly company while watching the traffic go by.

"Great little outback pub. The filming of Crocodile Dundee and the photos are great inside. Had a drink stretch the legs and continue on to mount Isa. It is a must do stop just to say you did and grab a photo."

Interesting overnight stay out the back of the pub. Plenty of Crocodile Dundee memorabilia to check out in and around the pub. We were there on a Saturday night which is pizza. These were yummy. It's worth a stopover to check out and support this tiny town
